Scott Hawley is managing director of Kaplan Residential, overseeing the firm’s strategy and supporting its leadership team as a trusted advisor. He attributes his dedication and strong management skills to his four years of service in the United States Army’s as a platoon leader and logistics officer, plus education at the United States Army’s Airborne School.

Prior to joining the Kaplan Residential team, Hawley directed Greystar’s client-facing strategy in the Southeast, overseeing the development and acquisition efforts for more than 70 clients. Additionally, he served as the executive sales director for CoreLogic SafeRent’s national accounts.

In keeping with Kaplan Residential’s prioritization of community involvement, Hawley sits on the Atlanta Apartment Association’s Board of Directors. He is a proud founding member of the Atlanta Beltline’s Young Leaders Group (The AB67) and the Emory University Alumni Working in Real Estate Group, which he has grown to more than 700 members.

Hawley completed the University of Pennsylvania’s Dual Degree Program, graduating with a bachelor’s of science in economics from the Wharton School of Business and a bachelor’s in arts in international relations from the university’s College of Arts and Sciences. Additionally, Hawley earned his MBA from Emory University.

His greatest achievement is climbing all 54 of the 14,000+ foot mountains in Colorado, also known as “The Fourteeners.”
