Isaac Marcushamer serves as general counsel and is managing director of Kaplan Residential. He oversees the firm’s acquisitions, legal transactions, investments, and capital partners. With more than 15+ years of legal experience handling complex transactions, distressed entities, business reorganizations and bankruptcy, Isaac is referred to as the organization’s problem solver.
In addition to his role at Kaplan Residential, Isaac is a founding partner of DGIM Law, a South Florida-based contemporary business law firm focused on bankruptcy and commercial litigation matters. He has been acknowledged as a leading attorney by Chambers & Partners USA, SuperLawyers, and is Martindale-Hubbell, AV® Preeminent™ rated.
Isaac earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the University of Toronto and graduated cum laude from Hofstra University School of Law. He is admitted to the bar in Florida and New York, and hold admissions to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court Northern, Middle, and Southern District of Florida, the U.S. District Court Northern, Middle, and Southern District of Florida, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
